One of the incredible things about Ladakh is that in midst of all its stark landscape you get scenes like this. Life bursting out of the desolate mountains in all its colorful glory.

Ladakh is an high altitude desert and the main source of water here is the melt water from the glaciers high above in the mountains. And wherever there is water.. there is life. Clinging to the crumbling mountains and clumped together trying to be as close to the water as possible.
